Parenting Neurodivergent Teenagers

3 x 2 hour sessions with Viv Dawes Autistic Advocate, looking at parenting neurodivergent teenagers (autistic, PDA, ADHD in particular).
Maybe your neurodivergent pre teen is about to become a teenager or you are already finding the teenage years challenging? This short course will look at many of the issues there can be for neurodivergent teens such as: social anxiety, mental health struggles, relationships and socialising, emotions, puberty, burnout, transitions from primary to secondary school, drugs and alcohol and a whole host of other topics.
The sessions will be as follows:
Sept 11th: Understanding their brain and other differences, monotropism, communication, puberty, relationships, transitions
Sept 18th: Burnout, mental health, drugs, alcohol and crisis
Sept 25th: Burnout recovery, monotropic wellbeing, the ND nervous system, PIP and what happens post 18
