About the event
3 x 2 hour sessions with Viv Dawes Autistic Advocate, looking at parenting neurodivergent teenagers (autistic, PDA, ADHD in particular).
Maybe your neurodivergent pre teen is about to become a teenager or you are already finding the teenage years challenging? This short course will look at many of the issues there can be for neurodivergent teens such as: social anxiety, mental health struggles, relationships and socialising, emotions, puberty, burnout, transitions from primary to secondary school, drugs and alcohol and a whole host of other topics.
The sessions will be as follows:
Sept 18th: Looking at neurodivergent brains, communicating with your teen, socialising, puberty, relationships
Sept 25th: Burnout, anxiety, mental health, self harm, drugs and alcohol
Oct 9th: Burnout recovery, monotropism, the nervous system and what happens post 18
Sessions will be recorded and ticketholders will have access to these recordings once the course is completed.
