About the event
When you have an autistic child / teenager at home, unable to attend school because of burnout, then it’s important to be aware of your position legally. It can be a stressful time for the family seeking to do the right thing for the child/young person, especially when there is pressure from professionals for the child to return to school, rather than understanding the need for recovery.
Viv Dawes Autistic Advocate will help you understand what autistic burnout is and what the child/young person needs. Louise Gorman from Acacia Education, a SEN legal expert with many years of SEN experience, will explain your rights and answer your questions about your situation.
This 90 min zoom will also be recorded and available to all ticket holders after the event.
No diagnosis is necessary.
